We accept most major dental insurance, we file claims for you, and we tell you what to expect before any work begins.
Dental insurance is rarely as simple as it sounds. Every plan has different coverage tiers, waiting periods, annual maximums, and exclusions. Our front desk team handles the heavy lifting — we verify your benefits before each visit, file the claim for you, and explain in plain numbers what your share of the cost will be.

We accept all major private dental insurance. If you do not see your plan listed, call us — odds are very good we can still file your claim and apply your benefits.

Plus most major PPO networks. We are happy to verify your specific plan before your first visit — just share your insurance card when you schedule.
How it works in practice.
- Before your visit: We verify your benefits using the information you provide at scheduling. If anything looks off, we will call you before your appointment.
- At your visit: Your provider explains the exam findings and any recommended treatment. You get a printed plan with your estimated out-of-pocket cost.
- After your visit: We file the insurance claim directly. Most patients only need to pay their portion — copay, coinsurance, or deductible — at the time of service.
- Larger treatment plans: For implants, orthodontics, full-arch work, or anything multi-phase, we pre-submit to your insurance to confirm coverage before you commit.
No insurance? Look at the Virginia Dental Club.
If you do not carry dental insurance — and many of our lake-community patients do not — the Virginia Dental Club offers predictable annual pricing with no deductibles, no maximums, and no third party in the middle. Two cleanings, two exams, and X-rays included every year, plus discounts on everything else.
