Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom-fit aligners that you wear for 20 to 22 hours a day, switching to the next tray every one to two weeks. Each tray nudges your teeth a fraction of a millimeter closer to their final position. Over a few months for simple cases, or a year and change for more complex movement, you’ll have the smile you’ve wanted, without the brackets and wires.
We use digital scanning to plan your case, so you’ll see your projected result before you commit. No goopy impressions, no surprises. And because the aligners are removable, you keep eating, brushing, and flossing the way you always have.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?+
Most adult cases at Westlake run six to twelve months, sometimes less for minor corrections. More complex movement can take a year or longer. At your consultation we scan your teeth and give you a realistic timeline before you commit.
Is Invisalign more comfortable than braces?+
Most patients find it so. There are no brackets or wires to irritate your cheeks, and the smooth aligners are removable for meals and brushing. You may feel mild pressure for a day or two after switching to a new tray.
How often do I wear the aligners?+
Wear each set 20 to 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink anything but water, and brush. Consistent wear is the single biggest factor in finishing on schedule, so keep them in whenever you reasonably can.
Does Westlake handle Invisalign in-house?+
Yes. We scan, plan, and monitor your entire case right here at Westlake Corner. There is no driving to Roanoke or Lynchburg for specialist visits, and Dr. Willis oversees your progress at every step.
Can teens use Invisalign?+
Yes. Teens with a full set of adult teeth are often good candidates. Clear aligners give the orthodontic benefit without the metal-mouth photos, and special compliance indicators help us confirm they are wearing the trays enough.
